I have a new crush. It's OK though its a celebrity I'll never meet & in reality would be doomed. I actually don't fancy many celebs as a lot if them seem like knobs.
Joel step forward.
I didn't know of his existence until I'm a celebrity get me out of here but by the end of the series really liked him.
Move forward several months & after seeing his stand up show I now love him.
He was hilarious, warm and bloody gorgeous!
In reality he's far too sculpted. See his Instagram for top of amazingness. He'd need to eat some pies or my mum tum would be a serious issue 😊
Who's your celeb crush?
Love Emma xxx
P.s since seeing his ACTUAL girlfriend my fantasy romance is over. She's too bloody perfect & I feel inferior even in my head! Stupid gorgeous slim, tall, perfect hair women.

Mother's day vs father's day
Mother’s Day vs Father’s Day
The morning breakfast –
Mum:
Kids wake you up at the crack of dawn. After much shoving,
moaning & duvet hogging dad says “Let’s give mum a lie in.” He kisses you
and you smile sighing deeply and spreading out in the bed. They all trundle
downstairs. Few minutes later you hear cupboard doors banging and yells. “Where
does mum keep the small saucepan?” Followed by “Quick sign this card. Where’s a
biro?”
Eventually peace
resumes until the smoke alarm goes off startling you. “Don’t worry just burnt
the toast.” A yell up the stairs announces. A few minutes later the door bursts
open. A lovely breakfast is presented to you. You appreciate the gesture but
would have preferred another hour’s sleep. The kids drink most of your juice,
eat half your toast but you smile lovingly as a bunch flowers are offered, your
youngest gives you a beautiful card they made a school and your partner gives
you a hastily wrapped package which is a CD of a group you only vaguely
recognise.
Dad:
Kids wake you up at the crack of dawn. You quietly and
quickly shoo them downstairs. Your partner barely notices. You give the kids
some cereal, have a quick shower, nip out quickly to buy a newspaper and then
make a proper breakfast. You take it upstairs were your partner enjoys the peace,
paper and food and kids remain downstairs watching the telly. The present you
bought is a new pair of trainers he’s been looking at for weeks.
The Day-
Mum:
Later you go to visit your own mum taking the youngest child
with you. You partner gives his mum a brief call and then settles in front of
the football. On the way you detour to get some flowers, a little bit of
shopping and petrol. You tell your partner you’ll be back by 5 and then you can
all go to your favourite restaurant for dinner. You don’t see his panicked face
as you leave. At your mum’s you end up making lunch, doing the dishes and
having a lovely chat.
Dad:
Later you go to visit your own dad taking all the children
with you. You end up going to the retail park as the eldest suddenly announces
he needs new football boots. Your partner is at home watching the football. He’s
had a brief chat with his dad which mainly consisted of the football scores and
an accumulator bet. You ring his favourite restaurant to double check the
booking for this evening. At your dad’s you make lunch, go for a walk with the
dog and have a nice catch up.
The Evening-
Mum:
You get home feeling tired and flop on the sofa. Your
partner makes you a cup of tea and sighs. He’s forgotten to book the restaurant
and they are not reserving anymore tables. Inwardly you seethe but outwardly
say a takeaway will be fine. After a lengthy family discussion you settle on
Pizza which is your least favourite. On the plus side your partner did remember
your favourite wine although you suspect he popped out to get it earlier and no
one has to drive. After pizza and wine you fall asleep on the sofa.
Dad:
You get home feeling tired and flop on the sofa. You offer
your partner a cup of coffee. After a brief rest you all get ready and leave
for dinner. Your partner is thrilled you got a table has several beers whilst
you sip coke being the designated driver. Once home your partner kisses you, thanks
you for a wonderful day and falls asleep on the sofa.
A few days later -
Your partner has booked your favourite restaurant as a
surprise and you are genuinely touched. You have a lovely time especially as
it’s not that busy. At home you sort out the washing and your partner puts the kids to bed before
getting you a drink and you settle down to watch your favourite programme.

Dreading the weighing scales - my top (humorous) tips
Bad week & dreading the scales? Here's my top tips for getting an extra lb off ha ha!!!
Wear your lightest clothes possible. No socks or jewellery. Even ditch that wedding ring.
Don't drink anything (a lady at my class swears by this)
Wee several times before weigh in.
Don't eat anything (obviously)!
Walk to class that 10 minutes of exercise might make all the difference. Not!
Suck that tummy in (makes absolutely no difference but makes me feel better).
Do you have any weigh in tips or secrets?
Happy weigh in everyone. Make friends with those scales :)

Dogs vs Tots
Whilst chatting to a friend the other day we got onto the subject of dogs.
"I'm not really keen on dogs." My friend said wrinkling their nose and staring adoringly at her small tot. Whilst I'm not a huge dog lover quite a few of my friends have pooches & to say you dislike them would be like them saying they dislike your child!
It got me to thinking that there's actually a lot of similarities between dogs & tots.
1. Both require attention especially when you are settling down to eat. Queue the whine/ cry.
2. Both destroy your house in seconds & leave you unsure what tornado just whizzed through your home.
3. Your washing increases. Dog hairs/ slobber/mud/baby sick/ orange coloured food stains(why is it always orange!)/snot.
4. Your walking increases which is a good thing except when its freezing and/or raining! Although the tot/dog doesn't seem to mind the weather.
5. Strangers talk to you whilst on said walk. This can be odd/friendly or creepy!
6. Outings take on a different meaning. How long will you be out? Is it pet/child friendly? Do you have food/drink/lead? The lead could be for both although you may get a few frowns. Try child reins instead they were a must with my son.
7. You are rarely home alone!
8. Without realising you adopt a silly voice whilst talking to said dog or tot.
"Who's my little cutie-pie?" (Or similar gibberish).
9. Potty training & house training. Both seem like impossible tasks & you have an enormous sense of relief when the job is conquered.
10. Discipline. Both dogs & children can wrap you around their little finger & require love, attention and consistency. Easy right!?!
These phrases sound familiar (dog or child!?) -
"What do you have in your mouth now?"
"No... No... I said NO!!!"
"How did that much poop come out of such a little thing?"
"Come here... come HERE... COME HERE!!!"
"Don't move. Stay. I said stay there a sec!!!"
Any of the above sound familiar? Hope you have a fab week, the sun shines & your dogs & tots behave ;)

Life before & after kids
Life before & after kids
Without children : I've run out of milk. I'll just pop to the shop. Buy milk
With children: I've run out of milk. Deep sigh. Right kids get your shoes on. Where's your coat? 10 minutes later leave the house. End up buying milk, kids magazines with brightly coloured plastic crap on the front and a kinder egg also full of plastic crap!
Without children : Have a doctors appointment. Bit of a nuisance getting appointment to fit in with work. Get there chill out with magazine before seeing doctor & getting health issue resolved.
With children : Have a doctors appointment. Have to schedule it around work & school pick ups. Have to take kids. Very deep sigh. Spend 20 fraught minutes in the waiting room constantly saying shh & dishing out snacks. Discuss health issues in code whilst entertaining/distracting children.
Without children : Get ready for a night out. Have shower/ bath at leisurely pace. Apply make up carefully. Select outfit. Maybe have a glass of wine.
With children : Get ready for a night out. Skip shower you'll be fine you had one this morning. Spend 5 minutes applying make up whilst children try to steal your lipstick & mascara. Throw on your one trusty outfit that hides a multitude of sins & looks vaguely trendy.
Without children : Ah Sunday morning lie in.
Doze. Read. Relax.
With children : Ah Sunday morning lie in. Oh wait I forgot they don't exist anymore. 6.30am rudely woken. 7.30am if you're lucky. Oh well at least we haven't got to rush anywhere.
Good job we love our kids :)
